Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers lovely views out to sea and the castle, superb rooms with no complaints, and the staff couldn't do enough for us, even cooking a meal at night when only salad was offered for gluten-free guests. However, the dining experience was out of this world. The location is great, just a short walk to Peasholme Park and North Bay Beach, and minutes from the South Bay, perfect for the Open Air Theatre. The facilities are spacious and spotless, and the hotel is in a quiet area.
From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, the owners were friendly and helpful, making our stay comfy and tastefully decorated. The rooms at the rear of the hotel were a bit of a squeeze and dark due to a brick wall outside the window and dark carpets, but overall a pleasant experience.
The hotel had incredibly spacious and beautifully furnished rooms that were spotless, providing more comfort than most 5-star hotels we've stayed in at a much higher cost. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, with a modern and clean room and bathroom, and an excellent breakfast. The location was particularly good, minutes away from the North Bay, offering convenient parking and helpful advice on local attractions. The dining experience was superb, with flexible options and delicious meals served by helpful and engaging staff. While quietly located, the dining service was efficient, and the seafood was fresh, offering excellent value for money.
